Men's team start another winning streak after solid win over Leicester
It is winning streak number two for the men's team as they soundly beat a Leicester that seemed to not live up to the hype the hosts expected.
A hat-trick by James Anderson was the highlight in Staffs fifth win of the season. Today also saw Thomas Chandler become the sixth different fresher to score for the first time this season. Keeping with the freshers theme Shane Hall managed to return as the top fresher goal scorer as he scored his third goal of the season.
This win gave Staffordshire its first double over a team in their league this season.
Captain Dimitri Chambers says "It feels good to be back on the winnking streak again giving the team new life and this is a competely different team to what we sow in the games before the trent game, everyone has seem to woken up and reliesed what is needed to become top contenders against trent in or vist to them at the end of the year."
Today also saw the birth of two new plays where one of them did end up in the net, but was controversially disallowed for an apparent 'five-man moving pick'. Despite the goal being seen as illegal, it seems Chambers will continue to work on both plays which will hopefully become a key to the men's team future success.
Even with the comfortable win, there were a surprising amount of problems in the defensive line. "There are a few areas that could be always worked on with every team that we play against and that during this game it wasnt really a matter of what needs to be worked on it just more practice in what we have already been working on" comments captain Chambers.
With Varsity edging nearer and nearer, the provisional squad is slowly looking under threat from the rest as changes to the 18-man roster look more and more likely. "Yes, everyones is still under threat from the varsity team as new players are making themself noticed and with frequent training sessions and good preformance in games and being a team player will be put forward into the team, my final team sheet will be out within the next few weeks" said Chambers.
