JAY is our Irish leader, not content with being mens captain and mixed president he decided to help co-find the women's team to ensure he is part of every comimttee.
It is his second year of being mens captain and his third year of lacrosse. Last year he was also the teams social sec. but has passed that job on.
CARLY is our new mixed team captain this year. She has enjoyed a good start to her reign as in her first competitve tournament she guided the Staffs team to the Staffordshire trophy.
She is in her third year at university and has been an ever present ever since joinng the team. The place she struggles is when it comes to her drinking stamina, for Carly a night past midnight is an achievement, and one ending with the aid of a bucket is a very regular occurrence.
JAMES enjoyed a good year as a fresher last season and has taken on the responsibility of vice captain this year. He has a good relationship with Carly and so is able to work well alongside her, helping out with training and match days.
AFTER spending more than a grand on alcohol in his first two weeks of university Steve was picked out as an ideal candidate for social secretary. His nature is to ensure everyone has a good night, and therefore buys more drinks than he has people to give them to.
Working well alongside Kelly the pair ensure there are enough drinking games for everyone to be merry.
KELLY is our lovable social secretary, she is in her third year and grown into the role well.
Along with Steve she organises everything about a night out, the games, the venue, transport and especially what to wear. Thanks to Kelly the team have already seen the super-heroes conquer the fresher villains, and find not one wally but 20 odd in our Where's Wally night.
PHIL is our experienced treasurer who has put the theory of you always learn from your mistakes to the test. He may not have done everything with ease but whether by luck or judgement it went right in the end. In his second year of being a treasurer he is working alongside Mimi to ensure we all have our kit to train and play in, as well dealing with all the financial aspects of running the club.
MIMI is the thorough one of the treasurers, and it was her much appreciated efforts which enabled us to form an identity as the Staffordshire Scorpions, bringing a unity between the teams. It was her work over the summer break that allowed us to find our logo which will now be an integral part of all our social kit.
DIMI is our tee-total tour sec, it is his job to get us all to Salou so that we can drink so much we won't remember a thing of what will become the best week of our lives. He will round us all up in the mornings to stumble onto the lacrosse pitch, and hopefully at the end of the week will get us all back home.
Already known for his fund raising initiative, the efforts he has put in has given a much needed boost to the tour fund.
