I believe the margin of the 24-3 scoreline should be forgotten straight away as parts of the performance deserved a much closer score.
The fact we went ahead shows how much we have improved recently and to only be behind 3-1 at the first quarter shows that when we are at our best we can keep with teams like Warwick.
However in the next two quarters some consistency was lost. It is best not to dwell to much on this though as the weather was awful and an excuse for some to lose concentration.
What I want to remember is how well we worked the ball, especially late on. The short passes we employed in the last quarter worked and we should look to do this more often, especially in a close game against Birmingham.
The movement to create room improved no end throughout the game, and Kelly and Elle in particular were always open when I was looking for a pass.
This is going to be our last defeat of the season, and if we continue to train and field strong sides for our remaining fixtures we will finish third in the league and become Varsity champions once again.
