Well what I can say guys, another excellent team performance and now we have some freshers scoring after three matches. Congratulations to Shane and Hippo for getting their first ever goals in Lacrosse.
On a tough surface that involved a lot of scrappy confrontations, I think you all kept your heads really well today, even you Roids ;). I know there were a lot of flicks and that annoyed so much, but I won't criticise that due to the poor pitch.
As much as I'm pleased two of our freshers score, I think we could have had more. So I think we should practice more on shooting under pressure.
As I was in the defensive line, I probably have a lot to more critically talk about. Nearly all of our goals were because of people committing too much instead of holding their ground. To be honest I did do it as well and thankfully it didn't result in a goal, but I corrected my mistake, whereas I feel some of you didn't. I hope we can train on that, because I feel we can be a fantastic defence.
But to end it on a high note there were some terrific plays being worked from defence to midfield or even from defence to attack. I was loving Juggers' behind-the-back flick to midfield and to end with a the one-handed-leaping catch from Roids. If all that can be pulled off in one move that ended with a goal (preferably with a quick stick finish to make it look better), I think we could be seeing a terrific side that now has a chance of challenging for promotion.
Keep up the dedication at training guys and since we've got two weeks before our next match, we have the chance to practice on a lot of areas of the game.
