Another impressive performance and it was needed to do the double of Leicester.
Very impressed with the partnership of Marcus and Jinks, a definate threat which should be used a lot more.
I think besides the win, the biggest talking point was the muddy conditions, which to some people was annoying but others very entertaining.
The bit that kept annoying me was Becca and Anna, do they know how to stand up, they just seemed to fall over everytime they got near the ball. But I did like the bit at the end when Anna basically flattened one of the Leicester guys and because of that he got 'Dick of the day'.
I've got to mention the impressive performance once again from Maxime. I think we've got him to join the mixed band wagon. Keeping with the French theme, felt so sorry for Romain as he turned up but didn't play a single minute, don't blame him for leaving early. I'm still counting it as an appearence on the stats page.
I think I said in the last mixed blog that we're starting to see a lack of goals from the girls. We still are as once again no girls scored yesterday, I did notice a near miss from Sian who is definately getting better and better. But I will be expecting a few goals next week from the ladies, so train hard this week.
Final mention is I think we should recruit our very own 'waterboy' or 'teaboy' in the form of David Drysdale's dad. He seems to be turning into an assest on match days, always chanting and clapping and ending the match with a brew for his boy. I'll be expecting two tables full of brews and water for the whole team at Loughborough (if he's able to go of course).
Comments are always welcome, about the match, my comments, anything I haven't mentioned that should be. Comment about anything as long as it's related about the match. Type away.
