WELL what a win, the biggest ever one I have played in so needless to say everybody played really well. Also I think I am right in saying that in only conceding two goals it was our best defensive score ever, if thats not the case the it's definitely the best we have done in the last couple of years.
I would like to start with what I saw as the good bits to the game, in particular how we dealt with ground balls. I know we did it a lot in training but it definitely paid off, especially in the second half we won almost every single one, with a good few goals coming as a direct result of this.
Every fresher also put in an awesome game, I think it would have been impossible for Aston to realise who were freshers and who wern't because no one in our team looked inexperienced.
As always though we need to learn from games and what I can see from this game is the importance to gain the ball from draw, i know we got at least our fair share but like ground balls we want to be winning 70-80% of them as draws are a key way of scoring or losing goals.
If anyone has anything they want to add either what we did really well on, or what needs improving please add a comment to this.
