Probably our hardest-working performance of the season and a great way to come back after our heavy defeat against Nottingham Trent.
I am so glad I don't have to contend with another long trip to East Anglia next year. Unless I fail this year, which I hope doesn't happen. Despite the nine hours journey there and back we did have good banter which what made the journey less boring. Big highlights were probably Drysdale wanting to get out and run around because he doesn't seem to like being enclosed and another was the amount of top tunes on the other way including the Batman theme which I thought was genius.
As for the game I found it hard to find any major faults. Have to start with Sam Page who now becomes our sixth fresher to score his first ever goal. Not only that but he managed to get two. I'm glad Sam has finally scored, because it has been only a matter of time for who I think is becoming one of our most improved players.
There were so many other top performances. Simon was one quarter short of a clean sheet and ended up being his best performance of the season in terms of goals conceded. He totally deserved being man of the match. Defence was brilliant. We weren't messing around with the marking, we weren't giving any quarter and we looked like we wanted this really badly.
As for the midfield attack, you lot seem to get better every game. You all seem to gelling a lot more and the passing is so much better.
Final mention has to be our impromptu visit to Marcus' parents house. I think it is safe that almost everyone felt it was a bit surreal. I felt that as well, but it also very entertaining. I thought Marcus' parents were brilliant and so nice that they gave us a big spread and kept embarrassing Marcus.
Despite the long journey it was a great day and one that could affect our season as I think we seemed to know a lot more our team-members after spending all day with them. Let's keep this up guys.
